Virtual school

The Virtual school VS team structure can be found here

The virtual school has been set up to support schools and social workers in achieving the best possible educational outcomes for looked after children. It is made up of a headteacher and 4 Education Co-ordinators providing support across the county (contact details on the above link ). They work closely with schools, offer advice and training to foster carers and monitor the educational progress of Staffordshire’s looked after children. They also provide some direct educational mentoring in schools through the Education Mentors.  Education Co-ordinators can be contacted to give support and advice including around funding available to support the education of looked after children.
